CONSOLIDATED PLAN/ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

A Draft Amendment to The Town of Christiansburg 5-Year Consolidated Plan for the period July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2027, and Draft Program Year 2025 Action Plan will be available for comment period beginning May 5, 2025, and ending June 5, 2025. The 5-

Year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action has been developed in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The 5-Year Consolidated Plan is a planning document that identifies housing and

community development needs in the Town’s low to moderate income, homeless, and special needs population, as well as three targeted low to moderate income areas. The PY 2025 Annual Action Plan serves as the Town’s grant application to HUD and sets the goals and budgets for the use of funds.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

A copy of the Draft Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan, and Citizen’s Participation Plan is available for review online at www.christiansburg.org/729/CommunityDevelopment-Block-Grant or at the Town Manager’s Office, 100 East Main Street,

Christiansburg, VA 24073. A print copy of the draft plan will be located at the

Christiansburg Public Library, located at 125 Sheltman Street during the review process.

PUBLIC MEETINGS

Two Public Meetings with Town staff to discuss and receive comments will be held on

Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM and Friday, May 30, 2025 from 12 PM to 2 PM in the Admin Conference Room, Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia.

PUBLIC HEARING

In addition, Town Council will hold a public hearing on May 27, 2025, at 7:00pm to
