Betsey Roberts, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 10, 2025 to be with her Lord.
Born in 1958 in High Point, North Carolina, Betsey was a wife, mother, Girl Scout Leader and accountant for 35 years, and always a pleasant person to be around. She was married to Tom Roberts for 42 years, who always felt that they were still on their honeymoon till the end, and that no-one other than Betsey was his better friend, companion, and angel. Betsey loved her family, friends, clients, and her two cats.
Betsey is survived by her husband Tom Roberts; her children Dee Roberts and husband Liam Baldwin of Richmond; daughter Sarahbeth Roberts and fiancé Joshua Rainey; and grandchildren Maverick, LJ, Lincoln, Kira, and Bella Rainey of Dallas, Texas; mother in-law Doreen LH Roberts of Blacksburg; sister Jenny Fleming of Charlotte, N.C.; sister Kacy Pope of Greensboro N.C.; brother Will Linthicum of Trinity N.C.; and her two beloved cats D’Arcy and Artemis. Betsey is predeceased by her parents, William E. Linthicum II and Ann Johnson Linthicum.
All friends and family are invited to Betsey’s memorial service at the Blacksburg Church of Christ at 610 Palmer Street in Blacksburg at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025.
