
MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), in partnership with the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, proudly celebrated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Days across area high schools during the first two weeks of May. Nearly 200 graduating seniors were recognized for committing to careers in skilled trades, advanced training, military service, and postsecondary education – each representing a vital step toward strengthening the local workforce and economy.
Megan Atkinson, Career & Technical Education and Business Partnership Administrator for Montgomery County Schools said, “As part of a nationwide celebration highlighting the crucial impact of Career and Technical Education in addressing workforce shortages, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) proudly recognized the commitment of approximately 200 students at CTE Signing Days hosted at each of our high schools. These events empower graduating seniors to pursue valuable career paths offering engaging work, good pay, stability, and opportunities for growth, which strengthen our local economy and community.
