Montgomery County continues to work with stakeholders and community members to update its Comprehensive Community plan, Montgomery Matters. The new plan will outline the county’s future goals on a number of topics, including housing, recreation, future business growth, a variety of county services, and much more. Over the past year, community members have helped shape the goals and vision outlined in Montgomery Matters.
On May 29, 5 to 7:30 p.m., “Action Matters,” an interactive community workshop is being held to help determine strategies for the goals related to Montgomery Matters. The workshop will provide citizens a chance to collaborate with each other, the Montgomery Matters project team, and other community leaders on potential programs, initiatives, and partnerships to achieve the community’s shared goals.

Action Matters is the latest in a series of community engagement events that will continue through the rest of 2025 to include community and village meetings, surveys, stakeholder discussions and interviews in an effort to gain valued feedback from citizens.
