Brent Xavier Lesko (1949-2025) passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family and loved ones on May 31, 2025, in Radford.

Brent was born in Washington DC and grew up in Maryland, but called Radford his home for the last 36 years. Brent was a loving and devoted husband to Susan Lesko for 39 years, and raised two children, whom he and Susan dearly love. Brent spent his career working as a military contractor and software programmer; but his joy was to be a dedicated volunteer in his community at Grove United Methodist Church. Brent had a passion for various outreach missions of the church including the Community Thanksgiving Meal and the To Our House homeless shelter program. Brent had a fun-loving spirit and was constantly making friends with his sense of humor that put others at ease and invited them into conversation and was always willing to help anyone he could.

Brent is survived and greatly missed by his wife Susan; children Jason and Maura (Eden Keith); sister Denise Buchly; brother Harry Brandt Jr. (Deb Brandt); granddaughter Korra Keith; brothers and sisters in law; and various nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and Palliative Care as well as Valley Ridge Home Health, and Dr. Rania Rosborough from Sage Health for the loving care and support that they showed to Brent and his family throughout his decline in health.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Grove United Methodist Church today, Wednesday, June 4, at 2 p.m. The family will celebrate with friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grove United Methodist Church or Good Samaritan Hospice.

The Lesko family is in the care of the Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
