NRV CARES (New River Valley Child Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Services) has announced the departure of Executive Director Andi Golusky after more than six year.
“During her tenure, Andi brought compassion, professionalism, and vision to the organization’s mission of protecting children and strengthening families across the New River Valley,” the organization announced. “Since 2019, Andi has been a tireless advocate for children and families, overseeing critical programs including CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Parent Education, and Community Education. Under her leadership, NRV CARES has expanded its impact, deepened its community partnerships, and raised visibility throughout the region.”
During her tenure, Golusky received multiple honors, including 2022 Distinguished Nonprofit Leader of the Year by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and 2023 Community Woman of the Year by the New River Valley ABWA Express Network.
“Andi has been a driving force behind NRV CARES’ growth and success,” said Melissa Almond, President of the Board of Directors. “Andi’s passion for supporting families has been a benefit to all of the communities we serve. We are grateful for her unwavering commitment and wish her the very best in her next chapter.”
NRV CARES is now seeking a successor to Golunsky, a “passionate, motivated individual to join the veteran staff and lead the organization into its next phase.” “The Executive Director will oversee all programs, strengthen fundraising efforts, deepen community partnerships, and lead staff operations,” the organization announced. “This is an opportunity to join an established organization and work to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our region.”
