Brittany Christensen
Brittany Christensen is the newest addition to the Hahn Horticulture Garden team, as its first arborist.
Christensen is an ISA Certified Arborist and is no stranger to the garden – she was a student gardener at the Hahn Garden from 2017 to 2020. Since then, she has continued to grow her expertise, earning a Master of Forestry degree from Virginia Tech in 2023 and gaining valuable experience in plant nursery operations, utility forestry, and most recently, as a Research Technician at Virginia Tech, where her work has contributed to publications focused on best practices in Urban and Community Forestry.
Christensen brings a strong technical background, a passion for trees, and a deep appreciation for the Garden’s mission. We’re excited to welcome Brittany back—this time as a full-time team member—where she’ll be helping us care for and enhance the garden’s vibrant landscapes.
