Roy Andrew Hughes, Sr., 81, of Blacksburg, died Wed., July 9, 2025.
He was born in Montgomery County May 27, 1944, to the late Melford and Mable Shealor Hughes. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Landon Smith and daughter-in-law, Alison Bruns Hughes.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Tommy McMahan and Carmela and Jackie Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Jr. and Dana Hughes and Charles and Laura Hughes; grandchildren, Andrew Hughes (Samantha Mahoney), Lacey (Alex) Welch, Dylan McMahan, Chris (Rebecca) Hughes and Austin Smith; great-grandchildren, Alison Hughes, Hayden Welch, Michael Welch, Kynzlie Hughes, Bryson Hughes, Mason Hughes and Layla Hughes.
A private graveside service will be held.
