
The Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival kicks off this Thursday, Sept. 25. The fes-tival has been named the fourth best pumpkin patch and corn maze in the country by USA Today.
CHRISTIANSBURG – Sinkland Farms is kicking off its 34th Annual Pumpkin Festival this weekend, on the heels of the news it has been named the fourth best pumpkin patch and corn maze in the country by USA Today.
“We are thrilled that Sinkland Farms won the prestigious titles of fourth best
Pumpkin Patch and fourth best corn maze in the nation by USA Today’s 10 Best
Readers’ Choice Awards in 2025,” said Susan Sink, owner of Sinkland Farms. “Sinkland Farms was the only Virginia farm listed in top 10 for best pumpkin patch which spotlights Southwest Virginia’s unique charm on a national stage.”
This year’s festival runs from Sept. 25 to Nov. 2 and “promises a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages,” the fam announced. “Start your journey by selecting the perfect pumpkin from a vast array of sizes and colors, ideal for fall decorations or carving your Halloween masterpiece. Then, hop on a hayride to the picturesque pumpkin patch, navigate the challenging five-acre corn maze, and indulge in a variety of fun-filled activities designed to delight the
whole family.”
Attractions at the festival include:
The Corn Maze: Test your sense of direction in our expansive corn maze,
featuring paths that twist and turn across 5 acres. Armed with a maze map,
challenge yourself to locate all the hidden points of interest and see how quickly
you can find your way out.
Hayrides and More: Take a relaxing hayride through the scenic farm, cheer on
your favorite pig at the thrilling pig races, watch blacksmith demonstrations,
chain saw carving and much more.
Kids’ Adventures: Little ones can enjoy pony rides, meet our Fairytale
Princess, or get a friendly scare from our resident scarecrow and PumpkinTron
stilt walker, while the Mystical Witches are roaming the grounds.
Live Music and A Cappella Groups: There’s live music and a variety of
entertainment to keep everyone smiling, all while parents relax with a beer or
wine on the terrace. Plus, kick up your boots for line dancing some Friday
nights.
Visit Barnyard Friends: Meet and interact with friendly farm animals up
close, from curious goats and gentle sheep to clucking chickens and playful pigs.
Fall Farm Décor: Stroll through the farm adorned with whimsically painted hay
bales and gorgeous seasonal decorations, creating picture-perfect backdrops for

Hours of the festival are Thursdays and Fridays 4-8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
