Jane Dove Robinson, 93, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on Oct. 17, 2025 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital.

She was born Jan. 7, 1932, the seventh of eight children of Harvey Dove and Ada Reed Dove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Robinson, and her seven siblings: Leonard Dove, Roy Dove, Willard Dove, Essie Compton, Ruby Early, Elizabeth Robinson, and Elsie Fugate.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Rachel Robinson, and a daughter, Debra Walker, all of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Amber, Whitney and Wyatt Walker of Washington state; step-grandchildren: Alyson (Dwayne) Morgan of Georgia, Anthony (Andrea) Wilder, and Marcus Wilder of California; Keshaunia White, USAF North Carolina; seven step great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephew Nina and Bethany Dalton, and Agness (John) Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1949. She married Ray Robinson May 24, 1953. Jane and Ray were married for 18 years before they were blessed with children. Jane worked at Electro-Tec for many years until the birth of her 1st child in 1971. Around 1976 she began teaching kindergarten at Bible Holiness Christian Academy (then Christiansburg Day School). She continued to work for the school for over 15 years. Jane was a long-time active member of Bible Holiness Church, she liked to cook, and many people enjoyed her blonde brownies. Jane was a caregiver at heart. She lovingly cared for her mother, father, and later her husband. She was always helping others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and at times would play tricks on people. Her last residence was Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, where she lived for over 10 years. Even with dementia, she kept her quick wit and sense of humor. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all, but especially by her wonderful, dedicated caregivers at Heritage Hall.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Alls Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home.
