Sally Yvonne Rollins Taylor peacefully departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at the age of 81, at her home in Christiansburg. She was born June 29, 1944, to the late Abraham and Mildred Rollins of New River, Virginia.

Affectionately known as Yvonne, she was a devoted member of Greater Mount Zion United Holy Church in Christiansburg until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Before her illness, she especially cherished church trips, outings and fellowship with her church family.

Yvonne was a proud graduate of Christiansburg Institute, a private school dedicated to educating African American students in Christiansburg.

She worked diligently for more than 30 years at Wolverine Gasket Company, now known as Wolverine Advanced Materials. Yvonne took great pride in her contributions to the company and retired with honor after decades of service.

Yvonne deeply loved her family. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed the company of close friends and relatives who visited her often.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham Rollins, Jr. and Mildred W. Rollins; her brother, Timothy I. Williams; her sister, Teresa L. Taylor; and her daughter, Veronica N. Taylor.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory her son, James Anthony Taylor; her grandchildren, Jordan Anthony Taylor, James Richard Taylor, Jaylin Nowlin, Bryson Taylor and Kali Taylor; her brother, Robert E. Rollins; her nieces and nephews, Richard Jeffrey Williams, Angela L. Parris, Samantha A. Parris (Chris Hunter) and DeWayne A. Parris; and her great-niece and great-nephews, Ronal Parris (Jessica), Alyssa Parris and Ryan Parris. She also leaves behind a host of extended relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life honoring Yvonne will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with the family receiving friends 12 – 1 p.m.

The Taylor family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
