Niche is known as a leading platform that connects students and families with schools, colleges and neighborhoods through in-depth reviews and rankings, with school districts ranked based on various criteria, including state test scores, graduation rates, teacher quality, public school district ratings and more.
“The 2026 Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education,” according to Niche.com. “Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more. SAT/ACT scores have been removed from this year’s rankings to reflect a general de-emphasis on test scores in the college admissions process.”
“These school districts are a sampling of what makes Virginia’s New River Valley a great place to live,” announced Onward NRV. “Great communities are what create great school districts. And our communities are built around an excellent quality of life that comes with mountain views and a lower cost of living.”
