A Montgomery County judge this past week sentenced former Blacksburg councilman Liam Watson to three concurrent two-year terms on voter fraud charges.
Judge Robert Turk then suspended the sentence and placed him on a two-year unsupervised probation.
In December 2025, Watson was found guilty of two counts of felony election fraud and one count of illegally voting in an election after it was determined he had no real physical Blacksburg address.
Watson delivered his resignation from the Blacksburg Town Council Dec. 24, 2025.
