Jube Early Burk, 91, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born in Montgomery County on Sept. 11, 1934, to the late Arthur and Verna Gerald Burk. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nita Burk; sisters, Ara Gallimore and Nitta Carson; brothers, Harold Burk and Owen Burk; and two infant siblings.
Jube retired from Yokohama Tire in 1997. He was an associate minister for many years in the New River Valley and was beloved by all the lives he touched. He was an avid gardener; he was also known as the “candy man” all over the valley.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Burk; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Kevin Barham, and Kim and Brian MacInnis; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Connie Burk; step-son, Jody Egan; brother, Jayhugh (Sheryl) Burk; grandchildren, Brittany (Chad) Graziano, Ian (April) MacInnis and Neil MacInnis, as well as five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday May 11, 2026 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Early, Pastor Simon Jones and Pastor Jason Vaughn officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
