The Alpha Mu Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority of Christiansburg has named Sharon Ferrell as the Chapter’s 2025-26 Woman of the Year.
Ferrell exemplifies the characteristics that are known to Beta Sigma Phis the world over in her selection for this honor. In addition to serving as Chapter Corresponding Secretary and Co-Chair of the Social Committee, Ferrell is always willing to help in any way and played a significant part of the chapter’s success in hosting last year’s area Founders Day event.
She pledged to the chapter in December 2022, is currently at Ritual of Jewels level and has previously been honored as Chapter Valentine Queen. She is employed by VCOM-Standardized Patient in Blacksburg and resides in Christiansburg with her husband Paul.
The presentation took place at the Beta Sigma Phi Founder’s Day Banquet, hosted by Radford’s Xi Tau Chapter in Fairlawn. Last year’s recipient, Robin Grove, presented Ferrell with an engraved trophy and Woman of the Year charm to commemorate the honor.
