PLANNING COMMISSION
The Town of Christiansburg Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073, pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-2285 of
the Code of Virginia, as amended. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning:
- Code Amendment request by Town of Christiansburg, Applicant, to amend the
Christiansburg Town Code, Chapter 42, Sec. 42-397 – Permitted uses. Data centers are currently allowed by right in the General Industrial (I-2) Zoning District, and the
request is to require a conditional use permit for data centers in the General
Industrial (I-2) Zoning District.
Town Hall will be open and available to receive public comment in-person at the time of this Public Hearing. A copy of the application, the Town’s Zoning Map, Zoning Ordinance, and
Future Land Use Map may be viewed in the Planning Department Office, 100 E. Main Street,
