PLANNING COMMISSION
The Town of Christiansburg Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073, pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-2285 of
the Code of Virginia, as amended. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning:
- Conditional Use Permit request by The Economic Development Authority of
Montgomery County, Virginia, Property Owner and Applicant, to allow a
structure greater than 70 feet in height, specifically a manufacturing area with a
footprint of 8,500 square feet and a height of 105 feet, in the General Industrial (I2) zoning district on property located at 2040 Parkway Drive SE, identified as Tax Parcel 558-((A))-24A (Parcel ID 300149), consisting of approximately 38.102
total acres. The property is designated as Mixed Use w/ Buffer (Industrial) on the
Future Land Use Map of the 2013 Christiansburg Comprehensive Plan.
Town Hall will be open and available to receive public comments in-person at the time of this Public Hearing. A copy of the application, the Town’s Zoning Map, Zoning Ordinance, and
Future Land Use Map may be viewed in the Planning Department Office, 100 E. Main Street,
Christiansburg, VA 24073, during normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through
