A Community Forum on the three proposed constitutional amendments in Virginia will be held Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Blacksburg Town Council Chambers, 300 S. Main St., Blacksburg.
The forum is free and open to the public. Voters throughout Virginia will vote on the amendments. The forum is not specific to Blacksburg.
The amendments are briefly entitled Reproductive Freedom, Marriage Equality, and Restoration of Voting Rights.
Two presenters will begin with an overview, history and significance of each amendment. There will be time for questions from audience members.
A handout will state the ballot language for the amendments and briefly identify the outcomes of yes or no votes.
The presentation expands on these summaries so that voters can be well informed about their choices.
