The Virginia High School League has announced its 2026 Class 3 all-state boys soccer team and Christiansburg head coach Adam Pickeral is the Class 3 Coach of the Year.
Christiansburg head coach Adam Pickeral guided the Blue Demons to a 17-5-1 record and the program’s first state championship with a 4-2 win over Brentsville District in the Class 3 finals. During his four seasons leading the Blue Demons program, his teams have compiled a 58-19-5 record and have appeared in three consecutive state semifinals. Following three seasons as an assistant coach at Christiansburg, his teams have claimed three straight Region D championships.
The all-state soccer team consists of five forwards, five midfielders, five defenders, and one goalkeeper. Only those players selected first-team all-region are eligible for selection to the all-state team. The all-state selection committee comprises eight coaches, with two from each region.
