The August General Body Meeting of the Montgomery County-Radford City-Floyd County Branch of the NAACP will be held Sunday, Aug. 26 at 3:30 p.m. at the Old Hill School Community Center, formerly known as the Christiansburg Community Center (570 N High St., Christiansburg).
The CREDO presentation will be by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. All are welcome.
In even numbered years, all NAACP Adult Branches hold officer elections. The Montgomery Co-Radford City-Floyd Co Branch 7092 will hold its election Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at the Old Hill School Community Center.
All positions are open and all elected officers and Executive Members at-Large (four) are to be elected.
The positions are for a two-year term and include: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and four Executive Members at-Large.
Committee chairs are recommended by the newly elected president and are approved by new Executive Committee in January 2019.
Officers, At Large Members and Committee Chairs are expected to attend the monthly Executive Meetings and monthly General Body meetings.
To be eligible to run for office one must be a member in good standing as of April 1 and live or work in the represented area—Montgomery, Radford City and Floyd County.
