Jerry R. Buckner, age 80, of Christiansburg, passed away on March 7, 2022.
He is survived by his wife of 60 1/2 years, Freda Jean Buckner; a daughter, Gina Arnold; a son, Dale Buckner and his wife, Renee; four grandsons: Trinity Heckman (Jessica), Brett Buckner (Jesse), Brock Buckner (Devon), and Blake Buckner (Brooke); and a special great-grandson, Zander Heckman.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all his many special friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Reed, the Rev. Jube Burk, and the Rev. Connie Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers, the children requested monetary gifts for their mother. The family received friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
