The Radford University women’s basketball program has added another pair of signings to the upcoming season’s roster.
Caliana Fenceroy, a 5-5 guard from Omaha, Neb., will join the Highlanders as a junior transferring from Pensacola State College. Zahra Daniel, a 5-11 guard from Miami, Fla., is also joining the Highlanders as a junior transfer from Pensacola State.

CALIANA FENCEROY
Guard | 5-5 | Omaha, Neb. | Pensacola State | Northwest High School

  • Lettered four years and started three at Northwest High School averaging 13.6 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals per game as a junior.
  • Named to the all-state second team after averaging 15 points, two assists and two steals per game as a senior.

During the 2021-22 season at Pensacola State, Fenceroy averaged 7.5 points per game starting in all but one of the 25 games in which she played and shooting 37% overall from the field.

She recorded double-digit point totals eight times with a season high of 17 points against Bishop State.

She had a season-high five assists against Tallahassee Community College and Gulf Coast State College.
FENCEROY ON WHY SHE CHOSE RADFORD: “Radford was a big enough Division I school that it fits me as a student athlete. Radford also has a geology major that will allow me to pursue my dream of becoming a volcanologist. When talking to coach McGuire, I felt the coach and player rapport was easily understood.”
MCGUIRE ON FENCEROY: “Caliana is a combo guard who will bring experience, leadership, and a winning attitude to our program. She loves the game of basketball and is passionate about her growth on and off the floor. She values the importance of the point guard position and has a strong understanding of the game. We look forward to having Caliana on campus in a few weeks.”

ZAHRA DANIEL
Guard | 5-11 | Miami, Fla. | Pensacola State | Miami Central

  • In high school, Daniel averaged 14.3 points per game and was named first-team all-conference twice.
  • Lettered and started all four years at Miami Central and was a district champion.

Her last season at Pensacola State she averaged 7.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while playing in 20 games. She shot 33% from three-point range and 75% from the charity stripe.

She scored 10+ points six times during the 2021-22 season with her season-high coming against Eastern Florida State when she scored 15 points.
DANIEL ON WHY SHE CHOSE RADFORD: “I chose Radford because I felt a connection with Coach McGuire and I believed that it was the best fit overall.”
MCGUIRE ON Daniel: “Zahra is a versatile wing who will provide immediate depth to our back court. She has a great combination of size, length, and athleticism that can impact on both ends of the floor. She will also provide a strong rebounding presence from the wing position. Zahra has a lot of playing experience and we look forward to her bringing this to our team this season.”
