Ed Lawhorn formally announces his candidacy for Blacksburg mayor on Tuesday, April 4 to a crowd at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Blacksburg. Lawhorn currently serves on the town’s business relations committee and the New River Community College’s Education Foundation board. He is also the New River Valley market executive for Union Bank and Trust.
