Pitch, hit and run competition

Over 30 youngsters participated in Monday’s Pitch, Hit and Run competition at Harkrader Sports Complex in Christiansburg. First place winners included: (from left) Johnnie Gaynor (age 7/8 girls, all-around, pitching and hitting champion); Bridget O’Brien (13/14 girls, all-around, pitching, hitting and running); Cody Lowe (age 7/8 boys, all-around champion, pitching and running champion); Kyrstin Lowe (age 11/12 girls, all-around, pitching, hitting and running champion) and Kayden Camper (9/10 girls, all-around, pitching, hitting and running champion). Not pictured are: Hunter Blount (7/8 age boys, hitting champion); Briggs Noonkester (9/10 age boys, all-around, pitch champ); Logan Roberts (9/10 boys, hitting and running champion); Tyler Phillips (11/12 boys, all-around and pitching champion); Marshall Basham (11/12 boys, hitting champions) and Connor Dobbins (11/12 boys, running champion). All first place winners will move on to regional competition with the chance to perform at a Major League Park this summer.
