Thomas G “TG” Gearheart, Jr., 86, of Radford, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was retired from the parts department at Harvey Chevrolet.


He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas G Gearheart, Sr. and Cora Fulcher Gearheart.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mary Chapman Gearheart of Radford; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Vickie Gearheart and Tim and Becky Gearheart, all of Roanoke, and Chris and Janice Gearheart of Charlotte, N. C.; daughter, Sara Gearheart of Bristol, Tenn.; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Central United Methodist Church in Radford. A memorial service followed with Rev. Don Shelor officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, ”The Journey Team”.
