NAACP general meeting, international dinner and Veteran’s Day celebration scheduled

The October General Body meeting of the Montgomery County-Radford City-Floyd County NAACP will be held Sunday, Oct. 22nd, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 500 Stuart Street in Christiansburg. The Civil Rights & Educational Development Opportunities (CREDO) topic will be Immigration and DACA.


The meeting will begin at 3:30 and end at 5pm. All are welcome.

In addition, the NAACP Youth Council International Dinner will be held Saturday, November 11, at 4pm at Asbury United Methodist Church, 500 Stuart Street in Christiansburg. Youth will serve food and discuss cultures from around the world. All are welcome.

The NAACP will sponsor a Veterans’ Day celebration on Sunday, November 12th, at 4pm at Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church, 580 N. High Street in Christiansburg. The speaker will be Retired Marine Sergeant Lamont Calloway. The colors will be presented by the VT Corps of Cadets. All are welcome.
