Nancy Karen Smith Heidt, 68, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her home in Dublin.

She was a retired nurse with Volvo Trucks.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Gladys Smith; her husband, Randall Vincent Heidt; her brothers, Tommy Sarver and John Smith; and a brother-in-law, Ron Heidt.

Survivors include her son, Chris Heidt and Trisha; a daughter, Karen Vandergrift and Michelle; granddaughters Ava and Brooke Heidt and Reghan and Harper Vandergrift; brothers-in-law Roger Heidt (Diane), Ray Heidt (Henri), Russell Heidt, Richard Heidt (Kathleen Dotson-Datum), Dean Heidt (Mary), and David Heidt (Cathy); sisters-in-law Lavonne Bender (Steve), Marietta Heidt, and Sam Heidt; an aunt, Lois Hart; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Brian Cockram officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the SWVVC Volunteers, PO Box 11373, Blacksburg, VA 24062 or the Lung Transplant Foundation, Christiansburg, VA.

The Heidt family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
