Naomi Marie Wells Agee, 81, of Christiansburg, left this life to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025.
She was born in Roanoke on July 3, 1943, to the late Asa Elbert and Beulah Marie Altizer Wells. She attended Auburn High School in Riner until 1959 and graduated from Radford High School in 1962. She was proud of her Riner roots and would attend Auburn class reunions.
Naomi was a faithful member of Valley View Primitive Baptist Church serving as secretary. She and Donald loved bowling and were members of the Senior Bowling League and she served as treasurer. She retired from Montgomery County Public Schools where she taught for 28 years, retiring in 2003. She received Teacher of the Year 2000-2001. She was a member for 25 years and served a term as president of the Virginia RHO Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa for women educators.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Caleb James Brizendine; infant brother; and great granddaughter, Orabell Rose Scott.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of almost 60 years, Donald Lee Agee; daughter, Angela Marie Agee and Caroline Agee Brizendine (Billy); grandchildren, Billy Brizendine, III, Ryne Lee Scott (Kayla), Jordyn Marie Edmondson (Denny), Bradan Garrett Brizendine, and Connor Aaron Brizendine; great grandchildren, Isla Rose Scott, Elin Marie Scott, and Vivian Leigh Scott; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 5, 2025, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 6, 2025, at the funeral home with Elder Raymond Goad officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens in Christiansburg.
