It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mardell W. Hilton on Feb. 23, 2025.
She was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Giles Co. to the late Edward Issac and Lura Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Hilton, and her son, Melvin Meredith.
Left to cherish her memory are her four sons, Randy Hilton, Ricky Hilton, Darnell Harvey and Charles (Johnny) Meredith and wife Kathy; daughter-in-law, Joan Meredith; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five sisters.
She liked to sing and play the guitar and her keyboard, she also played piano in the church that she attended for many years. Mardell was employed at Virginia Tech for 38 years.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.
