The 8th annual Race for ACCE 5K and Fun Run event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Blacksburg High Cross Country Course.
This event raises funds for the ACCE (Access to Community College Education) program that provides funding for local Montgomery County high school graduates to attend New River Community College tuition free. Students who qualify for the ACCE funding annually provide 80 hours or volunteering in the community as a way of giving back to the community. Race medals are awarded for first-third place winners in the different age categories and overall race prizes are provided.
