A new financial institution is coming to Prices Fork Road.
This past week, Blacksburg Town Council approved a conditional use permit for a drive-through at 1800 Prices Fork Road
A 2,500-square-foot First Community Bank building is planned for the site with entrance and exit on Plantation Road.
Council also approved a conditional use permit for General Office, Medical Office or Fine Arts Studio Uses in the R-5 Transitional Residential District at 700 and 706 South Main Street and 105 Eakin Street, SW.
The lot in question is adjacent to a downtown hotel and a former art house. The site has been vacant for a long period of time.
In other matters, council approved the reappointment of Lauren Colliver and Andrew Kassoff (alternate) to the New River Valley Agency on Aging for the term of one year.
