Warren “Weasel” Harrison Long, 94, of Radford, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

He retired from the Lynchburg Foundry in 1980 and went on to be an excavator and lifelong farmer. Weasel was preceded in death by his loving wife, Velva Margaret Akers Long; his parents, Cooper K. and Nancy Ann Long; a son-in-law, Jeffrey Worrell; a sister; and a brother.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Conklin; grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and Garry Wright and Jason and Holly Worrell; great-grandchildren Nathan Wright, and Meriam and Jeffrey Worrell; sister Roxie Dishon; sister-in-law Reva Martin; special nephew Carl Akers; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Neil Wood officiating. Snowville Masonic Lodge #159 AF & AM will conduct the graveside service on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

The Long family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
