Glen Michael Winters, 65, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Radford Health and Rehab Center.

Born May 19, 1961, in Montgomery County, Glen was the youngest of 14 children born to the late Carl Waitsell Sr. and Elsie Idora Hungate Winters. He was preceded in death by his brothers William Daniel Winters, Jack Wesley Winters, Carl Waitsell Winters Jr., Earl Thomas Winters, Jimmy Wayne Winters and Merl Franklin Winters; and his sisters Martha Ruth Sparks, Joe Ann Marsh and Betty Lee Smith.

Glen is survived by his son, Junior Winters of Christiansburg; his daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Kurt Roberts of Christiansburg; his beloved grandchildren, Lena, Mira and Jacob Winters and Austin Roberts. He is also remembered by his stepchildren, Ivy Byrd, Anna Byrd, Perry Perdue, Kayla Harrison and Melissa Keene, along with their families.

Also surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jim Parsons of Sparta, N.C., and Lilly and Larry Thomas of Dublin; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Roscoe and Joyce Winters of Blacksburg, and Ed and Linda Winters of Blacksburg; as well as many nieces, nephews, special friends, and his faithful K-9 companion, Sasha (“Boo-Boo”).

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Good Samaritan Hospice and the Dogwood nursing team at Radford Health & Rehab Center for their attentiveness, kindness, and compassion throughout Glen’s illness.

The family will receive visitors 1-2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive S.W., Blacksburg. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., with Pastors Steve and Lou Akers officiating.
